Serena Williams
Born in Belfast in the 1970s as the oldest of seven children, I grew up during challenging times in Northern Ireland, but I had a normal upbringing. After earning my degree, I moved to England as part of the generation encouraged to seek better opportunities elsewhere. A decade later, my first trip outside Europe sparked a love for travel that has stayed with me ever since. By 40, unmarried or a family of my own (heaven forbid!) and with a successful career, I decided to fulfill a vision I had long held for my life and moved to the countryside.
Approaching 50, I began seeking deeper fulfillment. Realizing that I tended to make major life decisions around landmark birthdays, and staying true to this pattern, I sold my home with the aim of buying two properties—one in the city and one in the country. Along the way, I honed practical skills like tiling and plastering, even as I reached the peak of my career as a Global Vice President for a large company.
Despite my outward success, I wasn’t truly happy. In December 2022, feeling stressed, unfulfilled, and unhealthy, I decided it was time to prioritize myself. I resigned from my job and embarked on a journey of self-care and personal growth. I focused on my health, worked with a trainer and nutritionist, and completed diplomas in life coaching, spiritual life-coaching, human design, astrology and nutrition. I also finally booked a month long bucket-list trip to Africa—travelling alone - a dream I had put off for 25 years.
Today, I prioritize self-care and embrace a balanced lifestyle. I am now ready to embark on the next stage of my journey with a focus on what truly brings me joy—helping people see possibilities and become the best versions of themselves.
I strive to be true to myself, taking responsibility for my actions and openly acknowledging my mistakes, while encouraging others to embrace their true selves and act with honesty.
I’m not afraid to take bold risks, even if they don't always succeed, believing that true growth comes from facing challenges head-on.
Respecting everyone’s right to live and express their own truth, I create a space where everyone feels valued, heard, and understood.
Life is too serious these days—we need more joy! Let's lighten up and rediscover the simple pleasures of enjoying life.
